My passion has always been animals since I was a small child. When my three children were old enough to care for themselves, I went to work as a veterinarian assistant at Huntley Veterinary Hospital and Countryside Vet Services where I worked for nine years. When we moved to Hampshire, I took a position as a medical assistant for Sycamore Medical Associates. After ten years in the medical field, I decided to follow my dream of starting a pet sitting business. I am a member of Pet Sitters International (, the Hampshire Chamber of Commerce and have taken a course in pet CPR and First Aid through Pet Tech. I am also bonded and insured.

I have been married for 48 years and have lived in Hampshire for 14. I have two dogs. Lucy, an Australian Shepherd, who is awesome at agility and Bella, a Shih Tzu mix, who is the princess of our house.  Recently, I rescued a French Bulldog and named her Vivian. My husband Mike, and I are enjoying watching her learn new things after spending her life in a cage as a breeding bitch.  She is definitely the clown of our family.   I also owned a horse, Sam I Am, for eighteen years. We shared many happy rides together.

I am very excited about what the future holds for Karen's Critter Care and welcome the opportunity to care for your pets.
